I’m just wondering if genetics has to be the deciding factor, I mean tests are obviously biased because evaluators are already in favor of nature, but could the variation come from someone not paying attention intheir stats class? Could it be that our heights and looks determine the levels we are put in in school and therefore our intelligence so identical twins reared apart are similar?
Credit card companies charge retailers up to 6% of the cost of the transaction. They tempt you to use credit by sometimes offering 1% cash back or points or something. Meanwhile, the retailer has jacked up the price of the merchandise by 6% or whatever the credit card company takes off the top and the consumer ends up paying up to 6% extra in order to get 1% back or whatever. Now, when we most need some credit, the card companies slash our credit limits, while at the same time asking for a bailout from the government footed by the taxpayer. I for one plan to pay off my cards and cut most of them up into a million pieces and use cash or debit. Any thoughts?
I know that larger retailers pay less (1-2%). Not sure how much smaller retailers. But my friend owns a restaurant and he pays up to 5% depending on the credit card.
There is a fee for a retailer to use a debit card, but it is a flat fee. Unlike a credit card transaction, which is a percent of the purchase.

Will use the card for hotels, dining, parking related to business however looking for points and/or cash back. Most of the cards I have found reward best for supermarket, gas station and online retail purchases. Any suggestions?
so, my credit card I use all the time had 5% cash back on certain items. I called and they said it had been reduced to 2% for the BS excuse that they added drugstores and convienience stores to the list. so, do I have a right to claim the 5% or can they just change the rules as they go along?
Okay, any rewards credit card will give me 1% back, either in cash or on something I buy everyday (like gas).
Are there any cards that give me a higher percentage, either in general or specifically on medical expenses?
I am in a situation where I am paying the medical provider and insurance is reimbursing me, so a lot of money will be “churning through” this card.
Please, no advice on credit ratings or that I don’t want to do this. I’m just looking for the best card to use for about $30-70k in medical expenses per year.
Assume I can qualify for any card I apply for and that I only use this card for medical expenses.

I realize that this isn’t an exhaustive scientific study, nor was it meant to be. I received 46 total responses from the two questions I asked in the “Weddings” section and the “Etiquette” section.
20 indicated that they would rather attend a wedding with meat and no alcohol than with alcohol and no meat (if they had to choose just one), 15 indicated that they would rather attend a wedding with alcohol and no meat than with meat and no alcohol (if they had to choose just one), and the rest were either ambiguous or inconclusive.
Any comments or thoughts on this?
