Visa. It’s widely accepted versus all others and great loyalty programs too.

Read the fine print on any card offer!
Look for get one at zero interest and no fees, and grab it. Use it until just b4 the interest kicks in (usually the zero interest is an ‘introductory’ offer only) then get another one, and pay off and cancel the first. Never carry more balance than you can easily pay off during the nexth month or so. NEVER EVER be late or miss a payment. Even a ‘good’ card can turn bad quickly when the interest suddenly jumps to 32%!
Only look for the ‘gimmick’ cards (cash back, air miles, etc……) unless you are SURE you’ll actually use the benefit. Keep one card (with a relatively low limit) just for internet purchases. Never use your ‘main’ card or one with a high limit with a vendor you’re not completely trusting of.

    Again, READ the fine print.

I think American Express has the best points program, but it is not accepted everywhere. I use AmEx where I can, and Capital One Visa at places that do not accept AmEx

dont get a credit card because of rewards its a stupid stupid idea and it gives you an execuse to spend more than you should on the card.

on the other hand if this is compnay card then rewards are very important to consdier

ther reason being is the amount on interest that you paid on the versus what you get back is rewars is very little there is little comparssions thats why companies offer rewards so that you paid them 1000 a year in interstest and you get maybe get 100 gift card..

We like the Discover Card because we get 1% cash back on everything. They also offer 5% back on a quarterly basis on different things (e.g. travel, gas, etc.).

We used to have a Northwest Airlines card, but can’t seem to use the friggin’ miles!

Either way, pay it off every month! If you can’t afford it, don’t buy it.

Most of the reward cards have a higher interest rate than others. Look for the lowest interest rate, not the best rewards. You can reward yourself with the money you save.

Feeling down about your rising gas bills? Gas rewards credit cards can help! These cards offer you a chance to earn money back on your fuel purchases. There are plenty of reward plans to choose from. Before you apply, here’s what you need to know about gas rewards credit cards.

How Gas Rewards Credit Cards Work

Gas rewards credit cards are similar to cash back cards. Most operate on a percentage system. Every time you purchase fuel, a certain percentage of cash is returned to you. This usually ranges from 1 to 6%. So if you spend $200 on fuel each month and have a card that offers 5% cash back, you will receive a reward of $10 each month. How’s that for pumping fuel?

Some gas rewards credit cards operate on a point system. You earn points based on your fuel purchases. These points can then be redeemed for dollars. Your cash is returned to you either through a check in the mail or as a credit to your card statement. Reward credit cards reward you depending on the amount you spend on the credit card. Usually, you can collect rewards through 3 methods. One method involves earning cash back on the card, which is generally a certain percentage of each amount you spend. The next method involves giving points or any other type of token to the customers to accrue. They can then redeem these points for gifts like luggage, cosmetics and other goodies that the credit card company offers. Most of these reward schemes have alluring gifts and huge variety of selections. But the better option is to go for a cash back reward as it allows you to use the money any way you like.
