I believe it was the 1918 avian flu…
SARS was close to becoming a phase 6 pandemic
but it was not quite there yet

I believe the SARS outbreak reached only level 5.
If there’s any pandemic that measures up to level 6, it’s the 1918 SPANISH FLU, which killed at least 25 million in 6 months.
